Questions
Do I need to measure my Bible?
Yes — the form asks for height, page width, and spine thickness, rounded up to the nearest quarter inch. That sizes the leather panel your cover needs. No other measuring needed.
Is the price a final quote?
Rebinds start at $150, and repairs start at $50. If your form is complete, I quote from the choices you picked. A consultation is still there if the form is unclear, it is a repair I need to judge, or you want something off the menu. That quoted price is the price — nothing extra happens without your approval.
How much is a rebind?
Rebinds start at $150. You pick the leather, thread, and ribbons. Laser engraving is included in the starting price. Options add to the price — stamped/tooled design +$50; yapp Semi/Partial +$5, Generous +$10, Full +$15; burnished edge +$15; custom design +$15; each ribbon above 3 +$5 — and your firm quote covers them all before you pay anything.
How long does a rebind take?
Lead time is currently 4–6 weeks. I’ll keep you updated as your build moves along, at every stage.
When do I pay?
Telling me about your Bible costs nothing. For a rebind, after I quote from your form and we agree on the work, payment is due before I ship your Bible home. A consultation is still there if your form is unclear or you want something off the menu. For a repair, payment is due before your Bible ships home. You can pay by credit card, PayPal, Venmo, or Apple Pay — I’ll send you the details when we agree the work.
Who pays for shipping?
You pay to ship your Bible to me. I pay to ship it back to you.
Is there a charge to tell you about my Bible?
No. Telling me about your Bible costs nothing. You only pay once we’ve agreed on the work.
What if I change my mind?
If you change your mind before we agree on the work, nothing is owed.
How are repairs priced?
Repairs start at $50. Fill in Tell Me About Your Bible and send photos of what’s wrong — email them to hello@leeleatherco.com or send them through Facebook Messenger, with your name so I can match them to your form — and I’ll give you an honest quote before any work begins. If the damage is extensive, the quote reflects it — and nothing extra happens without your approval.
What should I include in my inquiry?
Just fill in Tell me about your Bible — the translation, the condition, and what you want. The form asks the rest: leather, thread, ribbons, cover and spine words, yapp, edge, design, and measurements.
Do I approve the design before you build?
For a rebind, yes. After your Bible arrives, I send you the design — the leather, thread, ribbons, and wording — for one yes-or-no approval before I build. That is separate from agreeing the quote. If you want changes after approval, that is a new quote.
When do I ship my Bible to you?
For a rebind, please don’t ship it until I send you the address with your quote. For a repair, wait until I tell you to ship it after you approve the quote. (Shipping costs are covered in “Who pays for shipping?” above.)
Do you have a referral program?
Yes. If someone you refer orders a paid rebind and mentions your name, you earn a $25 credit toward your next rebind. See Referrals for the details.
